PP2+ w/ Sennheiser Wireless

Post by foomanfat »

Is there a way to power a Sennheiser ew172 G2 wireless system with a PP2+?
Thanks

I am not sure... It may work from output output 1-4 switched away from normal if it requires less than 100mA (probably unlikely) or perhaps outputs 5 or 6 switched away from normal if it requires less than 250mA. Sennheiser says that the receiver power requirement is "10,5 - 16 V DC battery AA (Mignon)" which does not really tell the whole story. Does the receiver have a power supply for it? If so, what are the output specs listed on the power supply itself?

The wireless requires 12v, but 300mA.

Where did this info come from? If that is what the output of the power supply is then it is not really the requirement but a working scenario. The stated requirement is "10,5 - 16 V DC" as specified in the manual. Unfortunately there is no current draw mentioned.

What does all this mean?... It likely means that you can use output 5 or 6 with the DIP switch away from Normal. Try it out and let us know what you find. Be sure to find, and mind, the correct polarity for the pedal!
