Check with the manufacturer of your controller if you are unsure if your controller will send user definable SysEx messages.
So, I can leave my midi connections daisy chained together, and send the sysex, and my other gear will be unaffected, and only the GCX units will be listening to this message and change the 2nd one in the midi chain to respond to CC 88-95?
Do the units have to be midi connected directly adjacently to one another, or due to rack routing, can I have an effect, a gcx, 2 more effects, and a gcx, and the 2nd one will still receive this special sysex?
Again, I don't want this sysex to somehow be the secret code to disable one of my other units!!!
Thanks for clarification of how this really works!
