Control Switcher w/ Bogner Ecstasy (XTC)

I'm planning to use one to control channel switching of my XTC (green, blue, red) and keep my GCXs for pedals and the 4 others latching command of the amp (fx loop, standby, boost 1 and 2).

Does the momentary features of the Control Switcher unit is more appropriated for Bogner ecstasy ? "Pulse On only" looks like the right feature.

Is anybody have experience with XTC amp and VoodooLab Control Switcher?

The Control Switcher will properly control the channels on the Ecstasy using the Pulse On only Momentary mode.

Is the momentary pulse length is different on the control switcher than the gcx unit? Or is it because the gcx doesn't have " pulse only on" feature ?

I saw on another post that with the xtc you recommend to use latch instead of momentary for gcx ? Why is it differenton the control switcher ?

Also I have noticed using the gcx in latching mode that the xtc channel switching produce a click. Is no as smooth as the amp footswitch does. Is it because I don't use the gcx loop in momentary mode ?


I want to have more precision before order one ctrl switcher on my local dealer.

Correct, the GCX does not have the Pulse On only mode. The GCX must be set to Latching in order to control the Ecstasy, however it is not the correct way the amp wants to see the channel switching so it is not perfect, but a solution for when there is no other alternative.

The Control Switcher is a purpose built amplifier channel/function switcher. It will control the Ecstasy correctly without added noise or switching delays.
