Have you tried any of the trouble shooting tips on Page 54 of the G-Force Manual? Specifically, I would look into these two:

You are not getting any sound through the G-Force when you bypass it.
- You selected Killdry ON, in the I/O Setup, Audio menu.

No sound through the G-Force.
- You are using Analog input, but the input selector in I/O Setup, Audio menu is set to Digital.


Sounds to me like that second one might just resolve your "no sound" issue.

However, that intermittent powering On/Off issue is another thing entirely. I'm just spit-balling here, but it's possible that's being caused by signal overload, which might be corrected IF your I/O is set to Digital and you set it to Analog. If not, though, and the unit does need to be repaired, this is something you should address with your Seller. If he's a stand up guy, he should pay the entire cost of the repair, including shipping both ways.

Maybe a little contact cleaner is in order on that On/Off switch..?
