As a test, please try turning things off within the Ground Control Pro. Here is what to try...

1. For each of the other MIDI Devices in the Device Name / Channel list set the MIDI Channel to read "--" (typing 0 0 or 1 2 8 should give you this depending on the "Starts At" setting for each device)
Leave only the Tempode with MIDI Channel 15 set.

Test if the presets start working properly.

ok, I am going to try.

But before, i just have a question.

This manipulation won't do anything to my presets ? Because I have an important live on saturday and I don't want to reprogram all my presets .

It is going to stop transmitting Program Changes to all the other devices... You will need to set each one back to the original MIDI Channel settings again after this test to make everything work again. It will not re-write any presets.

I try but it doesn't change a thing :(

still have the same problem.

So it seems to come from the Tempode. Do you know someone who's using it with the GCP ?

I try to contact Molten Voltage, but they don't seems to be really reactive

OK so leaving the MIDI Devices off, can you try now turning off the GCX in Setup Mode under Expanders? Next will be turning off the Expression pedals in Expanders also.

The test will then be to have everything turned off in the Ground Control Pro but the Tempode.

p.s. you will want to write three presets with three different Program Changes set for the Tempode.

1. In Bank 0, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "01".
2. In Bank 1, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "02".
3. In Bank 2, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "03".

4. Program the Tempode to respond to each preset with a different tempo.

Ok,

nope. :(

no positive result, still have the same issue :(

here is the mail I just receive from Molten Voltage, but it seems that I already try that solution.
I will invite them to come an check all that discussion on this forum:

"Hi Antoine,

First send the Program Change number to Tempode that you want to program on the right MIDI channel (default is 15).

Then set the tempo on Tempode and store it.

Now, each time Tempode gets that same Program Change, it will recall the stored tempo.

It sounds like you might not be doing these things in the right order.

- Bill"

I too am not entirely sure you are following exactly what I am asking you to do, ( I am more apt to blame my not explaining it very clearly than any fault of yours  )here is a test I would like you to try and I would like you to tell me exactly which step things don't happen as I describe. I would also like to start this off with everything in the Ground Control Pro turned off except for the Tempode... so in the Device Name / / Channel list, only the Tempode slot should have a MIDI Channel assigned. In Expanders the GCX should be turned Off, and in Pedals both P1 and P2 should be turned Off.

On the Ground Control Pro
1. In Bank 0, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "01".
2. In Bank 1, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "02".
3. In Bank 2, Preset 1, set the Tempode Program Change to "03".

Then program each Ground Control Pro preset to work with the Tempode...
1. Recall Ground Control Pro preset 01.
2. Tap the desired tempo on the Tempode.
3. Wait a few seconds then press-and-hold the Tempo button on the Tempode.
4. After a few seconds the LED on the Tempode should turn solid Yellow. Does this happen?
5. Release the Tempo button and the LED on the Tempode should flash between Red and Yellow eight times to indicate a successful save. Does this happen?

6. Recall Ground Control Pro preset 11.
7. Tap the desired tempo on the Tempode.
8. Wait a few seconds then press-and-hold the Tempo button on the Tempode.
9. After a few seconds the LED on the Tempode should turn solid Yellow. Does this happen?
10. Release the Tempo button and the LED on the Tempode should flash between Red and Yellow eight times to indicate a successful save. Does this happen?

11. Recall Ground Control Pro preset 21.
12. Tap the desired tempo on the Tempode.
13. Wait a few seconds then press-and-hold the Tempo button on the Tempode.
14. After a few seconds the LED on the Tempode should turn solid Yellow. Does this happen?
15. Release the Tempo button and the LED on the Tempode should flash between Red and Yellow eight times to indicate a successful save. Does this happen?

Test it all out...
16. Recall each of the three presets, 01, 11, and 21 on the Ground Control Pro. Does the Tempode follow along with the correct tempo assigned to each of these three presets?

If this still isn't working, maybe I can have you send me your Ground Control Pro preset data... do you have a MIDI Interface to connect to a computer?

Also, can you tell me exactly how you are powering the Ground Control Pro?

Also, can you tell me exactly how you are powering the Ground Control Pro?I just turn on my rack and the GCX is phantom powering the ground control. That's the way I am doing it for almost ten years, now. Do I have to turn on first the GCP or the Tempode?
Thanks for your time. :)

Right on! At least we know know for certain we are all saying the same things ;)

OK for the memory dump, you can use any MIDI program that accepts bulk dumps (I use SendSX) to get a .syx file that you can email to info@voodoolab.com

I will load it into a Ground Control Pro here and test it all out to see if I can find any faults that might cause your problem with the Tempode.
