popping noise when you switch pathces

Hey guys. has any had any problems with popping noise when you switch effects on and off. eg i had my dyan comp plugged into loop 1 and every time i swithed it on there was a huge pop. i was using a bass guitar instead of guitar. i hope thats not what caused it. Any one had that problem before ???

Do you use a midipedal to switch the loops or just tap the effect on and off?

if it's the second, try switching it with the midipedal
if you don't have a midipedal: try getting one..

What switcher were you using? Is this a repeatable setup?

it the GCX audio switcher with the ground control. it doens happen all the time. every now and then it will occur. is it wise to use a bass through the GCX ?
