Dual Channel Pedals and Switching

Post by skuhtulhu »

Hello - just starting out with this sort of stuff and looking for some insight on how to achieve some configurations. i'll outline what i want to do and hopefully someone will give me advice on how it's done. I have a very simple setup with few pedals but two of the pedals are 'dual function' so to speak:

a Joyo d-seed dual channel Delay and a Mesa Boogie V-Twin preamp

Sound 1 - A short delay and the 'Blues' channel on the MBVT
Sound 2 - A longer wetter delay and the 'solo' channel on the MBVT

So ideally i want to be able to stomp on just one switch and change between either sound. Both Pedals have external foot-switch capabilities so I'm hoping that it is somehow configured using them.

suggestions appreciated - thanks!

The Control Switcher can handle the function switching on these two pedals, no problem.

Do you already have a loop switcher? How many pedals will you be using?

For pedalboard based systems we have our PX-8 Plus switcher that has eight pedal loops that are switchable independently and with preset combinations. The PX-8 Plus presets will also control the switches on the Control Switcher so you can instantly recall any combination of your pedals and set the appropriate state on these two pedals as well as have two switches left over for maybe controlling functions on a switchable amp or more switchable pedals.

hello and thanks for the reply - i don't have the loop switcher yet and wanted to know what to buy for what i had in mind - so from what you're saying a px-8 plus and a controller switch is what i need? that makes sense. besides the v-twin and joyo d-seed i've got a v3 big muff pi and mxr wylde overdrive and a TU-12H tuner and a wah - not very complicated and sophisticated - but fun none-the-less.

ok so time for some shopping!
