I know it sounds like a silly question, but my VL Trem (4-knob) doesn't seem to have the depth/intensity it use to have. Does the opto-circuit wear out?
One thing that I'm doing different is running a power supply for the whole board instead of batteries. Could that be causing the difference? Is this pedal that sensitive to regulated voltage/mA?
Do VL Tremolo pedals wear out?
Re: Do VL Tremolo pedals wear out?
I'm not sure I've ever heard of one "wearing out"... hmm
I suppose as a test you could power just the Tremolo using a fresh battery and listen if there is a difference. Another test would be to try the Tremolo by itself with just Guitar to the pedal and pedal to the amp to be sure something else isn't playing tricks on you here.
If, in the end, you decide you want us to take a look at it, please feel free to give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com so we can arrange for an inspection.
I hope that helps!
