handles for the board

Post by larryguitar19 »

Hello all. I'm new to the board. I just bought the Dingbat Medium with the Mondo and PX8.

Most of the boutique boards have some sort of handle.

I would like to attach some handles on the sides of the Dingbat. The predrilled holes on the sides are about 2 7/8' apart or something but in any event don't accommodate any cabinet pulls that I've found. I have thought about getting a knob with a bar shape.

I don't know if that will be sturdy enough with only one screw attachment. I think after a couple uses it will wear or fatigue.

But I wonder if anybody has some ideas.

A knob or two would probably be fine... will you be mounting it on top or out the bottom?

Alternatively, it isn't too difficult to drill holes in aluminum ;) (Masking tape over the area where you intend to drill can help keep the edges of the powdercoat from chipping)

I drilled two holes on the back for a standard kitchen cabinet type handle. Easy and works great! Not the greatest photo of it but you can sort of see it.
