new GCX/GCP owner - need help with pedals

Post by kenora »

So, I have recently switched out a bunch of gear for the GCX and GCP. I am now, however, getting a wonderful clean tone, but when I use either of my dist. pedals with the GCX, they sound like poop. Has anyone else had this issue? My rig is as follows:
guitar in -> ALESIS quadraverb GT ->whammy -> proco rat -> MXR fullbore -> MXR line boost -> SGX 2000 -> G-Major -> Marhsall 9200 -> cabinets.
Any help would be most welcome!

Thanks
Darren

I get the "poops" too, using 3 GCX + 1 GRX4...

Only the distortions sound bad? That is rather strange. Have you tried simplifying the system some to isolate just the distortions? Check the cables connecting the distortions to the GCX loops.
