Can I power a Surfybear Metal reverb pedal with my PP2+?
The Surfybear pedal comes with a 12v 1000ma centre positive power supply but apparently the pedal only needs 500ma.
Can I get 500ma at 12v from output 5&6 if I use a current doubling cable?...it says in the manual that each channel delivers 250ma.
P.s. I have been running an Effectrode compressor by doubling the current in outputs 5&6 and it says it is 12v 600ma. So in theory this should work right?
cheers

Re: surfybear metal and pp2+
Hi there,
For the centre positive you’ll need the special cable found here
http://www.voodoolab.com/shop/index.php?cPath=22
Or modify one yourself.
I’d try 5 or 6 with the dip switch away and see if it powers both the Surfybear and Effectrode with just 1 port, if it doesn’t it will just cut out. If it does cut out, try 2 of the ports 1-4 on the Effector and port 5 and 6 for the Surfybear.
See how you go
Cheers
