4x4 vs. x8 recommendations?

Post by mbinfp »

Hello,

I'm seriously considering a Voodoo Lab pedal power source as there are a few "ghosts in the machine" with my pedal rig (hums and weird behaviours with my Eventides). I have two Eventides (Space and a Time Factor), a Keeley modded Tube Screamer and Keeley modded Vintage Proco Rat, a Keeley C2 Compressor, Game Changer Plus pedal and a TC Electronics Polytune.

I was sold on trying the 4x4, as it appeared to be made for the "power hungry" Eventides, but noticed the Voodoo Lab x8 (I can't see it on the website but it's available at Long and McQuade in Canada and Sweetwater). The small size and 500ma outputs are appealing.

Does anyone have a recommendation which one I should purchase?

Thanks,
Aaron

Pedal Power 4 x 4 has more than enough high current outputs and is a great fit for those pedals. It's what I'd recommend. Certainly, no need to wait for Pedal Power X8... unless your really want to.

Cheers!
