PP2+ outlets 5 & 6 flipped-DIP voltage

Post by Davefest »

Hello,

I am a little confused. The PP2+ manual says that outputs 5 and 6 are 12.3v with DIP switch flipped. When I measure mine, my meter shows 18v. That's OK with me, as I wanted 18v (Morley volume/distortion/wah)--but why is the output metered at the mini plug different from the manual spec?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Measuring an unregulated voltage with no load attached is not particularly meaningful. If you are measuring output 5 and/or 6 in the 12V unregulated setting with no load (ie. no pedal) attached, this is most certainly the reason.

When an appropriate load is attached, the voltage will sag and measure very close to 12VDC ;)

Hope this helps!
