Hi Voodoo Lab forum.
I've just bought an analogue chorus and it's great!
I love it.
I am getting hold of an isolated voltage supply though to stop it hissing (works fine on the battery!)
Question? Can we boost the input voltage? Will it help the sound? I've heard that this can do wonders for some pedals. Under no circumstances do I want to damage this gem of a pedal, especially as there are no more being made, so I thought I'd ask the forum.
BTW: I saw this text on the ANalog.man website, but it was about the Voodoo labs Pedal Power 2 so I don't know if the "our" chorus refers to the VL one or the AM one.
"This means the LINE6 output can be used for our mono chorus pedals as they LOVE 16 volts." http://www.analogman.com/voodoo.htm
Thanks,
Dan
Analogue Chorus more volts?
Re: Analogue Chorus more volts?
The Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus is designed to be run at 9VDC. I don't think it would harm it to bump the voltage up a bit, but I doubt there would be any sonic benefit to doing so anyway. The quote from Analog Man is referring to their chorus pedal. I hope this helps!
