Egnater tourmaster
Hi I'm new here and I apologize if this question has been asked already (i did a search). I have an Egnater tourmaster which was a 7 pin cable for witching between the 4 channels, loop and reverb. do I need a special cable to change channels from the ground control/gsx? can anyone explain the best way to do this please?
Re: Egnater tourmaster
Hi there, sorry to tell you but that footswitch in is just to use with egnater's footcontroler, it is not a midi in, if you plug a midi cable there you can cause damage to your amp and pedalboard.
The best way to change channels on your amp via midi is to get a Amp gizmo, it's a outside device that makes a interface with channel change in a amp and midi just like the voodoo lab amp controler and the ENGL Z-11 but you cannot use that ones because they just have a 1/4 jack inputs.
Se what you need here:http://endthetapdance.com/ampgizmo.php
cheers

If you are going to be using the GCX, or the 1/4" jacks on a Control Switcher, then you will need a custom cable that breaks out from the 7 Pin DIN connector out to separate 1/4" jacks.
The Control Switcher will in fact have a 5-Pin DIN "Multi" jack that can be used to perform the same switch functions as the 1/4" jacks would. This would require a custom cable that connects the appropriate pins on the 7-Pin DIN jack from an amplifier to the correct pins on the 5-Pin DIN Multi jack on the Control Switcher.
