GCX with Head and preamp?

Hey

I've been using the gcx switcher and ground control pro for a while now and it's been beyond amazing but i've got an idea but im not completely sure its doable.

I have got a rackmount Mesa/Boogie V-twin preamp on the way and i was wandering if its possible to possible to use it in a loop with my head (Rockerverb 50) and current effects (G Major and a couple of stomps).

The main thing I was going for with it was to retain the heads 2 channels which has been working great with the switcher and then use 2 channels from the V-twin for a completely different tone.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

You can use a single GCX loop to A/B switch between the preamp section of the head and the Mesa preamp.
1. Run the Effect Send of the head to the In of a GCX Loop.
2. Run the Output of the Preamp to the Return of the same GCX Loop.
3. Run the Out of this GCX Loop to the Effects Return on the head.
The Guitar In buffer can split the guitar signal in order to feed the instrument inputs on the amplifier and preamp. I hope this helps!
