Ground Control Pro + Diezel VH4

Post by dantabor »

Hi!

I´m user of a Ground Control Pro and want to know if it´s possible to use
the Diezel´s Phantom Power (12DC) on the Midi-Out of the GCP.

Thanks for your response

Yes, you can phantom power the Ground Control Pro directly from the VH-4. Good Luck!

hello john,

you are shure that we can powered the GCP with 12vDC instead of the 9vAC power supply?
It's is a very good news if we can powered our GCP by diffent way.
I have a PowerTank in my pedal board, what the best way to powered my GCP : 9vDC, 12vDC, 18vDC or 12vAC ?
thx.

Yep, I'm sure.

The VH-4 phantom power circuit is unregulated and is limited to 500mA. This keeps the voltage from reaching much over 12V, thus preventing problems from overheating the Ground Control Pro. If your power supply is similarly spec'd, or regulated at 12V, then it will be fine to use. Good Luck!
