Wireless AND Tuner

Post by pjrake »

As I was setting up my rig with the GCX, I looked at some of the examples on the site, namely:

Tuner: http://www.voodoolab.com/gcxdiagrams/02 ... On-Off.pdf

and

Wireless: http://www.voodoolab.com/gcxdiagrams/03 ... hAmpSw.pdf

Now, the question is: is there a way to do both? In other words, use Loop 1 IN for the wireless AND the FEED THRU for the tuner? I tried it and it didn't work, as the guitar signal was coming in after the tuner. I'm assuming that I would have to plug the wireless in front of the unit through the GUITAR IN, but isn't that buffered? And the wireless is buffered also. So would it be too much to have two buffered units?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Do you want the signal to mute when the tuner is active or do you want the tuner active at all times?

If you have a loop to spare, try this:

Run the output of the wireless to either the Guitar In jack on front or the In jack of the loop of your choice. If you ran to the Guitar In jack, run from the Guitar Out jack on back to the loop of your choice. Let's say you chose Loop 1.

Run the a cable from the Send jack of Loop 1 to the Input jack of your tuner. Do NOT run a cable from the tuner back to the GCX. Connect the Out jack of Loop 1 to the next loop in your signal chain.

When you activate Loop 1 to tune your guitar, no tuner return = silent tuning. Hope that helps...
