For the life of me i cannot figure out how to get the gcp and gcx to correctly switch the channels on my amp. I've got a cable coming out of the out jack on the 4 separate loops on the gcx into the external channel switching jacks on my amp. I've got preset one assigned to loop 1 (via IA1), preset 2 assigned to loop 2 (via IA2), etc. however whenever i click on these presets, it does not activate the channels correctly because all of the channel LEDs on my amp light up, rather than only whichever channel should be chosen.
Is there some setting on the GCP that i've overlooked that is telling all 4 loops of the GCX to switch all of my channels on? Or maybe i'm completely going about this wrong all together?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
You will need to use the Ground Control Pro presets on the bottom row to program the switching logic so only one of these four GCX loops is on at any time.
Good Luck!

Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
I thought that was what i was doing, when i say i'm choosing a preset i mean one of the bottom 4 footswitches. Is there a way to assign a gcx loop to a preset without assigning an IA switch assigned to a gcx loop to that preset? because the latter of the two is the way i understood it to work.
If you could walk me through it i'd be forever grateful.
thanks again

Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
Have you enabled your GCX within Setup Mode on the Ground Control Pro? If not then look to the Expanders section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Setup Mode for step by step directions on how to enable your GCX within the Ground Control Pro.
For creating presets that set the status of GCX loops, look to the Controlling the GCX Guitar Audio Switcher section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Edit Mode for step by step directions.
I hope that helps!

Yes these are the directions I originally followed, however, it is still
Not switching the channels on my amp correctly.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
I did some experimenting and noticed that simply plugging a cable into one of my amps external switching jacks and then into the "out" jack on a gcx loop will activate that channel on my amp. This happens with the gcp detached from the gcx (therefore no loops are active). Does this mean that the gcx is malfunctioning?
Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
Now I see what is happening! Sorry I misunderstood the problem!
Try using the Send/N.C. jacks on the GCX Loops used to select the channels.

Unfortunately this does not solve the problem either, same problem still occurs. Any other suggestions?
Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
Hmm... In my experience Mesa has always use a Normaly Open configuration on their External Switching jacks, so lets go back to the Out/N.O. jacks while I go out on a limb and guess that there are other cables connected to these GCX Loops. If so, remove them and enjoy automated switching as intended.

Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
There is nothing else connected to the GCX whatsoever! Which is why i'm starting to believe that there is something wrong with the GCX itself. are there any tests i can perform to figure out if it is in fact the gcx???
