What is the exact size of the power jack (orig GC unit)?

Post by GtrGeorge »

Hi,
I own 2 of the original Ground Control units. They have given me great service over the years. But the power jack that goes into one was crushed recently, and I need to order a new one...so what is the size?
I am specifically asking for the jack that plugs into the GC unit right where it says 9Vac.
Thank you, GtrGeorge

PS: I used a 9VAC power supply from RadioS.... and although I read here that the original Ground Control unit needs 9Vac power at 500ma minimum)..the RadioS... power supply overheated withing 30 seconds..and It is rated at 800ma!! Any info greatly appreciatted..like what is the draw (in watts) of the original Ground Control unit?
thank you,again.

The power jack is a 2.5mm x 5.5mm Barrel connector.

The Ground Control draws less than 500mA. Perhaps there was another problem as it sounds more like the power supply used was introduced to a shorted condition.

Thank you, John.
As always, your answers are straight to the point..and VERY helpful. I will look for a short.
And, like I tell all my friends who make music...buy from companies that SUPPORT their product, like Voodoo Labs.
Thanks again,
