I'm sure there are a lot of options out there. What pedal do people find works best in the expression loop on the GCPro for controlling pedals thru MIDI?
Here are the units I'm integrating into my rack/system (for now):
Boss SD-1 (Keeley)
Korg A3
Eventide ModFactor
Eventide TimeFactor
Eventide Space
EHX LPB-1 Boost
EHX Holy Grail Reverb
...maybe others!
They aren't in any specific order yet. I want the expression pedal to be able to control all of the Eventide units. I'm also picking up a Mission TT-L latching switch for tap-tempo.
I've seen guys using Ernie Ball volume pedals, Boss EV-5's, Boss FV500L, etc... What's the best one in everyone's opinion?
Thanks!

Best Expression Pedal for Ground Control/GCX
Re: Best Expression Pedal for Ground Control/GCX
Best... I don't know.
Anyone else playing along at home have a favorite pedal for all around use?
I like the Ernie Ball pedals myself. I have been using the Ernie Ball pedals for many years without any problems. It's not a normal thing one would do with an expression pedal, but one thing I certainly like is that I can stand on my VP Jr. sideways with both feet and rock the treadle back and forth without breaking it.

Thanks John! So the Ernie Ball Jr. will work as well? Or should I go for the standard Ernie Ball?
Thanks again!

These are identical except for only pedal board real estate. The Ground Control Pro will accept just about any potentiometer value so if you are going to use what would normally be a volume pedal, get one that is a useful value for you if you were to use it in a normal audio path. I have the 250K version due to often running it in front of an amp when I do smaller stuff that doesn't require any MIDI gear or switching systems.
Another thing about the 250K units is that they have a taper switch that allows you to select one of two different pedal "feel" options. What feels right for controlling overall volume does not always feel right when controlling something like a wah or whammy effect.
