I have GCP and Eleven Rack configured using the 8 Instant Access buttons to control effects. I'm sending CC messages to turn effects on and off. The problem I have is knowing which effects are on/off when I select a preset. Every preset I select shows all the instand access LED's as off. Is there any way you can save the preset with the instant access LED's lit to show which effects on 11R are on/off? I reall don't want to have all the effects off on 11R and have to manually switch them on with every patch change - no time in a live setting.
Reading the manual, it seems as though the midi CC On/Off option of 'XMIT W/PRESET' (page 12) would do this. It says "When you call up a preset on the GCP, it will send out the current state (on or off) of this instant access button" I tried setting the instant access buttons to this XMIT W/PRESET, but it does nothing other than turn the effect on or off - same as the 'NORMAL' option. I tried saving a patch with the instant access buttons on so that they correspond with 11R but can't find a way to do this. Ideas?

Re: GCP Instant Access and Eleven Rack
The GCP set to XMIT W/Preset will do what you need. I do this all the time with my rig. But remember you have to store presets in the GCP.
Im using my GCP to control on/off reverb on my G-major2 via CC.
And loops in my GCX.

Re: GCP Instant Access and Eleven Rack
Actually, XMIT W/PRESET is NOT what you need to do here. This will send a Control Change message with each preset, which is not needed because the desired effect is already recalled with the preset, so there is no need to again send the Control Change message. Set all your Instant Access buttons back to their default setting of "Normal" when using them to control effects within a preset on any processor.
What you need to do is set the status of the Instant Access buttons so they match the effects recalled with your preset. To do this you will need to edit your presets by programming the state of the LEDs for the different effects.
Here is a quick guide...
1. Call up the Ground Control Pro preset you wish to edit.
2. Press any of the Instant Access buttons that should be active for this preset.
3. Press and hold the Edit button, release it once the screen changes to your device name.
4. Press the Edit button then the Yes button to save the state of these Instant Access buttons.
Good Luck!
