Accessing the sound banks in TC Electronic G-Force

Post by Denandon »

Can you show me how to do this using the GC Po?

Here is what the G-Force manual says:
New Mapping Mode
An "Extenal" mapping mod has been added.
When External mapping mode mode is selected all pesets in all banks can be accessed from an external MIDI device, via controller 0 (Coarse), plus a sent programchang according to the following table. Bank size must be set to 100 and the Fine/Coarse parameter must be set according to the sending device....

Controller Value
0 0 Rom bank preset 1 to 100
0 1 Rom bank preset 101 to 200
0 2 Rom bank preset 201 to 225 etc

How can I assign a controller from the GC Pro? Is this possible? I am not very versed in MIDI implementation.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Normally you would find the presets you want to use and copy them to the user bank. This allows you to directly access 100 presets without having to bother with bank selection.

The current GCP version does not support bank change commands.

It is much better to find and develop the sounds you want, tweak them, then have them all organized in a single bank.

Any questions, please let me know.
