Buying New GCP - does it come with proper MIDI cable?

-If you are powering the Ground Control Pro directly you will need any standard MIDI cable.
-If you are phantom powering the Ground Control Pro from a DMC/Voodoo Lab switcher then you will need a 5 Pin Active MIDI cable.
-If you are phantom powering the Ground Control Pro from a device with a 7 Pin MIDI jack then you will need a 7 Pin MIDI cable.

One more QUICK question, what cable is required to input into the GCP that would allow me to uitilize my Ernie Ball Jr.25k pedal as an expression/volume pedal??

I know page 3 in the manual states using a stereo cable with 2 x mono split - an "insert point" cable. This specifies for use as a "volume" pedal, but, having read that the Ernie Ball Jr.25k can "also" be used as an 'expression pedal', but a different cable is needed, and more importantly, what jack does it plug into on the pedal? (My EBJr.25 has an input jack, output jack, and tuner jack)

So - can the EBjr.25k be used as an expression pedal, and if so, what cable is required to use it to plug into the GCP. On the off hand chance, can it be used for BOTH volume AND expression by programming the GCP to understand when it is to be used and and for what (expression versus volume) ??

The Ground Control Pro will read just about any value pot so the 25K VP Jr. will be fine. I do not think the VP Jr. has a TRS jack so you will still need to connect it to the Ground Control Pro using an Insert Cable.

The MIDI Channel and Control Change message that the expression pedal sends is programmable for each Ground Control Pro preset. The actual parameters you can control with the expression pedal depend entirely on the capabilities of the MIDI device you are controlling with the Ground Control Pro.
