Need some help troubleshooting this....For some reason, when I have any patch that Invloves my Fulldrive or Red Snapper overdrive pedals the hum/noise is really high. A lot more than just the normal cycle hum. These are the solutions I've tried with no luck so far.....
Switching Cables....
Using Different Power source
Tried using just batteries in pedals instead of power source
Tried moving pedals in different spots on in my rack
Here is how I have it setup
Loop 1 - Red Snapper
Loop 2- Fulldrive
Loop 3- Gmajor
Loop 4- Eventide Timefactor
Loop 5- Korg SDD-2000
If I have just loop 4 selected... No noise
If I have loop 3 and 4 selected... NO noise
If i have loop 1 and 3..... lots of noise
loop 2 and 4..... lots of noise
etc.......
Also, there seems to be a slight lag in the midi control. Meaning, if I have patch for my Eventide Im using, when I select the patch on my GCP the number changes immediately but the actual delay takes a second to kick in..... Is this normal?
Thanks!
Noise Problem on GCX
Re: Noise Problem on GCX
What is the total signal routing you are using? If you simply run the output of GCX Loop 2 into the front end of your amp, with nothing else connected to the amp, do you still have the same problem?
As for lag when loading patches, this is usually due to loading a complex algorithm. Try simplifying the setup for a test with only one MIDI device connected and compare the lag when loading the patch manually vs. loading the same patch via MIDI. This will let you know if it is just the nature of the device or if there is something in the MIDI path that is significantly delaying the messages.

Re: Noise Problem on GCX
Thanks John! I will try that out tomorrow....
My signal path is
My guitar >>>>> Guitar In On GCX
Guitar out>>>>>Loop 1 in
loop 1>>>>>my snapper
Loop 2>>>>fulldrive
loop 3>>>>>gmajor
Loop 4>>>>Eventide
loop 5>>>>Korg SDD
loop 5 out>>>>Input on amp
(each one of the loop outs in connected to the next loop in)
Midi Wise:
Midi out gcx>>>>midi in gmajor
midi out/thru gmajor>>>midi in Korg
midi out/thru korg>>>midi in Eventide
