gcx wirh gcp issues

K I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've looped everything and none of the lights on the gcx are lighting up. I have an ENGL powerball with two of the insert loops with the trs ends to each channel and each mono end connected to 4 open loops and that's all that's connected to those specific loops.

Then as far as my pedals I have a keeley compressor which is first in loop and connected from the guitar out into the input of the first loop and the in put in the send and out into the return then the ISP decimator in the same order with the out plugged into the in put of my amp.. I'm so lost cause it worked perfectly before but I had to change cables to smaller ones. Which I know these cables are good...

The loops and the status LEDs should be able to change state regardless of your audio connections. Make sure your Ground Control Pro MIDI Out is connected to the Pedal In on the GCX. If this is right then you should at least see the Active LED on the GCX flash whenever you send any MIDI data from the Ground Control Pro.

The MIDI input is correct and the lights on the gcp work fine except for 5 it lights up for only a second and seems like it wants to turn on but ends up not staying lit up. None of the lights are turning on at all is there a setting I could have messed up or something?

On the Ground Control Pro is the GCX enabled in Expanders under Setup Mode?

1. Press both SETUP buttons at the same time.
2. Press the EXPANDERS button.
3. Make sure the screen reads "GCX-1 IS ON". (Use the DATA +/- buttons to change this if needed.)
