GCPro and Ableton question

Hi

I'm very interested in the GCP and wonder if cc control from GCP would trigger midi events in Ableton live along with control of my midi/loop pedalboard system?

Is this workable to have 8 buttons to trigger scenes in Live??

it's doable, but takes some effort.
the issue I found, at least with my testing, is that Ableton sees the buttons as pitch bend, only.
my solution was to use a midi translator to change the messages to my desired note type. and voila, Ableton control from the GCP.
YMMV, IMHO, IIRC, whatever.
