New to USB Midi have old Ground Control V1

Post by xprz »

I have an old Ground Control V1 and am trying to resurrect it, for use with Guitar Rig 3. It fires up and it appears to be working, but it doesn't seem to be putting out a midi signal that GR3 is detecting. With my limited knowledge of compatibility with your older gear with newer system, I am wonder if there is a way to test the unit. I am under no illusion that it could be a configuration issue, but with it being an old unit, which was in storage the unit could be bad. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Is there a factory reset?

The original Ground Control sends MIDI Program Change messages and Control Change messages. What message type does your program expect to see? What MIDI channel are you sending/receiving on?

If you go into the Setup Mode on the Ground Control under Utility, you will find the memory re-initialize option. Good luck!
